Join us on an amazing journey through Thailand and Vietnam. We start our trip in busy Bangkok, a city full of life and ancient temples. We have three nights in a comfortable four star hotel, giving us plenty of time to explore the city's sights and sounds. Next we fly to Vietnam. We spend three nights in Ho Chi Minh City, soaking up its history and modern vibe. Then it is off to Hanoi for three more nights, where we can explore its charming old quarter. This holiday blends city excitement with rich culture, offering you a travel experience full of discovery.

Best season: This trip is great all year round, but the cooler, dry season from November to February is often most pleasant.

Day by day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Bangkok, Welcome to Thailand

   We arrive in Bangkok and head to our four star hotel, La Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11. It is in the lively Sukhumvit area. You can relax after your flight or start exploring the local nightlife and street markets.

2. Day 2

   Bangkok City and Temple Tour

   After breakfast, we explore Bangkok's Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha. We also visit Wat Pho, home to the reclining Buddha. Later, we enjoy a boat trip on the Chao Phraya River, stopping at Wat Arun.

3. Day 3

   Bangkok Discovery and Floating Markets

   Today we head out of Bangkok to see the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. We will see colourful boats selling local treats. Then we visit the unique Maeklong Railway Market, where a train passes right through the stalls. We return to Bangkok in the afternoon for some free time.

4. Day 4

   Fly to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Awaits

   After breakfast, we check out and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. We transfer to our four star hotel, Harmony Saigon Hotel & Spa, in the city centre. Take some time to settle in before we explore the Ben Thanh Market and Nguyen Hue Walking Street.

5. Day 5

   Ho Chi Minh City Highlights

   Today we discover Ho Chi Minh City's key landmarks. We visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, both showing French colonial architecture. We also learn about Vietnam's past at the War Remnants Museum.

6. Day 6

   Saigon River Dinner Cruise

   We have a relaxed morning. In the evening, we enjoy a special dinner cruise along the Saigon River. We will have a private table, enjoy delicious Vietnamese food, and listen to live local music as we admire the city lights.

7. Day 7

   Fly to Hanoi, Capital Charm

   After breakfast, we fly to Hanoi and check into the Soleil Boutique Hotel, a four star hotel in the Old Quarter. We spend the afternoon exploring Hanoi's charming streets and trying local foods. In the evening, we might see a traditional Water Puppet Show.

8. Day 8

   Hanoi City Tour and Culture

   Today we take a guided tour of Hanoi. We visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature. We also wander through the famous 36 Streets of the Old Quarter and relax by Hoan Kiem Lake.

9. Day 9

   Day Trip to Ninh Binh or Ha Long Bay

   We enjoy a full day excursion from Hanoi. You can choose to visit Ninh Binh, known as 'Halong Bay on Land', or the stunning Ha Long Bay itself. We will cruise through beautiful landscapes and enjoy an authentic Vietnamese lunch.

10. Day 10

    Farewell Hanoi, Departure

    After breakfast, we have some free time for last minute souvenir shopping in the Old Quarter. Then we head to the airport for our flight home. We leave with many happy memories of our Thai Viet adventure.
