Day by day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrive in Seoul, South Korea

    Welcome to Seoul, a city where old traditions meet new technology. We have arranged a private transfer to your hotel, the Shilla Stay Guro. You can spend your first evening finding a local restaurant or take a gentle walk along Cheonggyecheon Stream.

  2. Day 2

    Royal Palaces and Hanok Village

    Today, we visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, the biggest royal palace, where guards wear traditional dress. Then we walk to Bukchon Hanok Village, with its beautiful old Korean houses. In the afternoon, you can explore Insadong, known for its art and tea houses, and try street food at Gwangjang Market.

  3. Day 3

    Modern Seoul and N Seoul Tower

    We start today at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a famous modern building. You can then visit COEX Mall, a huge underground shopping area. For some peace, we visit Bongeunsa Temple. Later, we take a cable car to N Seoul Tower for great views over the city.

  4. Day 4

    Journey to the DMZ

    Today is a chance to visit the Demilitarised Zone, a powerful and historic place. We will take a guided tour to see the Third Infiltration Tunnel and look into North Korea from Dora Observatory. In the evening, back in Seoul, why not try a traditional Korean sauna, a jjimjilbang.

  5. Day 5

    High Speed Train to Busan

    Today we say goodbye to Seoul and take the KTX bullet train to Busan. This coastal city is known for its relaxed atmosphere and seafood. We will check into the Ramada Encore by Wyndham Busan Haeundae, close to the beach. You can relax on Haeundae Beach and watch the sunset.

  6. Day 6

    Coastal Temples and Colourful Villages

    We start with a visit to Haedong Yonggungsa, a unique temple by the sea. Then we explore Gamcheon Culture Village, a vibrant place with colourful houses and art. Later, we visit Jagalchi Fish Market, where you can taste the freshest seafood.

  7. Day 7

    Relax or Explore Busan

    Today is free for you to choose your own activities. You could relax on Gwangalli Beach or explore the city's underground shopping. For a treat, visit Spa Land Centum City for a Korean spa experience. If you prefer, take a cable car for stunning coastal views.

  8. Day 8

    Fly to Osaka, Japan

    Today we fly from Busan to Osaka, Japan's food capital. After arriving, we will transfer you to the Miyako City Osaka Tennoji hotel. In the evening, explore Dotonbori, a lively area with bright lights and amazing street food like takoyaki.

  9. Day 9

    Osaka Castle and Shinsaibashi

    We visit Osaka Castle, a grand symbol of samurai history, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Then we see Shitennoji, one of Japan's oldest temples. You can also explore the retro Shinsekai area. Later, we recommend trying okonomiyaki, Osaka's famous savoury pancake.

  10. Day 10

    Bullet Train to Kyoto

    Today we take the famous bullet train to Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan. We check into Hotel M's Plus Shijo Omiya, which is well located for exploring. In the evening, stroll through the lantern lit streets of Gion, a historic district where geisha traditions are still present.

  11. Day 11

    Fushimi Inari Hidden Hike

    Today is special, with our included Fushimi Inari Hidden Hiking Tour. We will walk through thousands of red torii gates on quiet forest paths. You will learn about Shinto beliefs and see lovely views over Kyoto. This is a unique experience and great for photos.

  12. Day 12

    Golden Pavilion and Bamboo Forest

    We visit the beautiful Kinkaku ji, the Golden Pavilion, sparkling by its pond. Then we explore the peaceful Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. You could also visit Tenryu ji Temple. In the evening, enjoy dinner along Pontocho Alley, a charming street with many restaurants.

  13. Day 13

    Your Day in Kyoto

    This is a free day for you to enjoy Kyoto as you wish. You could visit Nishiki Market for local crafts and food. Or take a day trip to Nara to see its famous temple and friendly deer. For a truly unique experience, try a Zen meditation session.

  14. Day 14

    Shinkansen to Tokyo

    Today we take the high speed Shinkansen to Tokyo, a city of amazing contrasts. We check into Hotel Keihan Asakusa, a great base for exploring. We start our Tokyo adventure in Asakusa, visiting the historic Senso ji Temple and the lively Nakamise shopping street.

  15. Day 15

    Tokyo's Iconic Sights

    Today is packed with famous Tokyo landmarks. We visit the serene Meiji Shrine, then head to Harajuku for youth fashion. You can cross the famous Shibuya Scramble crossing. In the evening, enjoy the city views from the Tokyo Skytree or try sushi in Shinjuku.

  16. Day 16

    Explore Tokyo Your Way

    Today is another day to explore Tokyo as you like. You could visit Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea for some fun. Or explore the modern art at teamLab Planets. For a special evening, take a dinner cruise in Tokyo Bay or enjoy drinks at a rooftop bar.

  17. Day 17

    Depart Japan

    Today marks the end of your incredible journey. We will arrange your transfer to the airport for your return flight home. You will leave with wonderful memories of South Korea and Japan, a trip full of cultural discoveries and stunning sights.
