Overview

Join us for a lovely trip to Japan. See Osaka and Hiroshima during cherry blossom time. We spend three nights in Osaka at the Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay. Then it is three nights in Hiroshima at the Hotel Granvia Hiroshima. We include bullet train travel between the cities. We also add guided tours in both places. You will see Osaka Castle and the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima. It is a perfect mix of history, culture, and beautiful spring flowers.

Best season: This trip is best in spring for cherry blossoms.

Day by day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrive in Osaka

   Welcome to Osaka. Check into the Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay. Take time to relax after your journey and see the local area. You can find nice places for dinner and enjoy your first evening in Japan.

2. Day 2

   Osaka Castle and City

   After breakfast, we join a guided tour of Osaka Castle. See the beautiful cherry blossoms in the castle grounds. Learn about the city's history and samurai past. The afternoon is free to explore more of Osaka.

3. Day 3

   Osaka Free Time

   Today is yours to enjoy Osaka. You could visit parks for more cherry blossom views or explore cultural spots. Try some local food or do some shopping. In the evening, you might see illuminated cherry blossoms.

4. Day 4

   Bullet Train to Hiroshima

   After breakfast, we check out and take the bullet train to Hiroshima. Once we arrive, we check into the Hotel Granvia Hiroshima. Spend the afternoon by the Motoyasu River, seeing more cherry blossoms. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

5. Day 5

   Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

   This morning, we have a guided walk through the Peace Memorial Park. It is a thoughtful place to learn about Hiroshima's past. The cherry blossoms add a quiet beauty here. The afternoon is free for you to explore more.

6. Day 6

   Hiroshima Exploration

   You have a free day in Hiroshima. You might choose an optional trip to Miyajima Island. There you can see the famous Itsukushima Shrine. Or you could explore more of Hiroshima city and its shops.

7. Day 7

   Depart Japan

   Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel. You will have time for any last minute souvenir shopping. Then it is time to check out and head to the airport for your journey home. We hope you had a wonderful trip.
